Below is the race course for the 2009 Lake Cumberland Grand Prix. The Racing Village/Pit Area for the race teams will be located on and around Halcomb's Landing which is a newly renovated launching ramp area close to Wolf Creek Dam.
Come down and check out the action all weekend long. Whether it's watching the boats lowered into the water by cranes or seeing the pit crews get their boats into peak performance condition, there will be plenty of excitement for everyone!
There are many questions about where to tie up to watch the race so we are going to share some details about the course and viewing areas. The north side of the course between the red line and the bank will be the primary viewing areas. Houseboats can beach on the shore and other boats can anchor all along this side. The south side will have 100 ft from the shore available for boat traffic from Indian Creek to the east. No traffic will be allowed on the south side towards the dam and no boat parking will be allowed on the south side. Due to scale, it looks like some of the lines run up to the shore but there is room for boat traffic.
We will be running complimentary Water Taxis for spectators that would like to go from their anchored boats to Race Village. There will be a few pieces of dock tied along the bank but they will be primarily for loading and unloading passengers.

For your comfort don’t forget to wear comfortable and appropriate clothes and shoes for the weather, bring a blanket and/or chairs, sunscreen, binoculars, camera and of course a portable radio.
