Located in Clinton, Laurel, McCreary, Pulaski, Russell, and Wayne counties in south-central Kentucky, Lake Cumberland’s shoreline measures 1,255 miles and is spread over 65,530 acres at the top of the power pool. The reservoir ranks 9th in the U.S. in size, with a capacity of 6.1 million acre-feet of water, with an average depth of 90 feet. The main lake is 101 miles long and about 1.5 miles across at its widest point.
